Asus will announced news products for students and work from home professionals on July 15 via flipkart

On July 15, Asus and Flipkart will launch a new product category called Chromebooks.

In India, Asus has announced a strategic relationship with Flipkart to develop a new category of "cheap" and "simple" products. The first set of new products will be released on Thursday, July 15, according to the Taiwanese business.

Although neither Asus nor Flipkart have revealed anything about the launch, the upcoming products are expected to feature Asus Chromebooks. Asus and Flipkart have collaborated on the introduction of new smartphones and Windows laptops in India.

To advertise the July 15 launch, Flipkart has created a unique microsite. The microsite includes a graphic that suggests the new goods will primarily serve the needs of people who work and study from home, and will provide access to the Google Play store.

Asus is also emphasising the need of providing innovative items at a reasonable price. All of this suggests that new Chromebooks may be part of the rollout.

As individuals transitioned to remote working and learning paradigms, the COVID-19 epidemic aided Chromebooks in becoming a popular category globally.

Chromebook shipments worldwide reached 11 million units in the fourth quarter of 2020, according to a Canalys report. However, major vendors such as Asus have yet to recognise India as a substantial market for Chromebooks.

On July 15, Asus will hold a virtual launch event in India to unveil new "Thoughtfully Simple" devices for students and work-from-home professionals.

Asus hasn't said how many products it'll show off next Thursday, but the press release claims they're "built from the ground up with an intent to democratise digital education" and "can effortlessly integrate with your walk of life with a little learning curve."

These new student items will be available only on Flipkart, and the teaser image released by Asus suggests Chromebooks, but we could also see tablets.

With the unveiling still five days away, Asus may provide a few teasers to generate interest in its next goods.
