History of laptop and it's evolution

The history of laptops and its evolution is the efforts which begun in the 1970s, to build small, portable personal computers that combine the components, Inputs, Outputs and Capabilities of a desktop computer in a small chassis or a portable good to carry box or a gadget.

As the personal computer (PC) became possible in 1971 the idea of a personal computer soon became available. The personal and portable information manipulator was thought by Alan Kay at Xerox PARC in 1968 and designed in his 1972 paper as the "Dynabook". The IBM Special Computer APL Machine Portable (SCAMP) was launched in 1973. This prototype was based on the IBM PALM processor and technology. The IBM 5100, the first commercially available portable computer, was available in September 1975, and was based on the SCAMP prototype technology.

Let’s understand the history of laptop and it’s evolution by getting the answer for the below question?

It was mainly used by the U.S. military and by the NASA on the Space Shuttle during the 1980s. GRID’s Manufacturer GRID Systems Corp. was later bought by the Andy (now RadioShack) Corporation. The Grid laptop was restricted and limited because it had no internal battery pack and relied completely on mains power.

Why was laptop invented?

The computer was invented to automate difficult mathematical calculations that were previously calculated by human and to remove the human calculation error.
